CONTEMPORARY MINIMALISM // OPICLOTH SS24

New to the VERSEAS family, Shenzhen based designer brand OPICLOTH.
Founded by head designer Yius and his team in 2014. Yius (29) draws his greatest inspiration from designer Christophe Lemaire. He aspires to design collections that transcend seasonal trends, and focuses instead on creating minimal, timeless pieces.

OPICLOTH, derived from "ONE PERCENT INSPIRATION," embodies the brand's core mission: to provide the foundational elements necessary to curate compelling outfits. This ethos defines OPICLOTH's signature approach to fashion, emphasising simplicity and versatility while empowering wearers to express their unique style.

The new 24SS collection draws inspiration from everyday wear, utilizing classic pieces like shirts, jeans, and utility jackets as its foundation. By redefining tailoring to achieve new proportions, each garment features unique details and unexpected variations. The brand's iconic waffle knit designs continue to be a staple in the collection.

Think minimalism in both style and color. Seasonally appropriate simplicity in the silhouettes and a relaxed ambiance, aiming to establish a lasting connection between clothing and everyday life while emphasizing a practical and minimalist aesthetic.

A blend of diverse materials, including cotton paper-like fabrics and washed corduroy, creates opportunities for boys to explore new styles. The incorporation of outdoor elements, tracksuit sets, and workwear jackets extends the collection to more everyday scenarios, catering to the daily habits and contemporary minimal wear. A personal preference of designer Yius.

OPICLOTH selected VERSEAS as their representative for the overseas market. Currently there are no retailers outside of CN that offer the collections of designer Yius. VERSEAS believes this designer has a lot of potential as it brings a fresh take on minimal aesthetics. This partnership aims to expand the global presence of Yius' collections and make them accessible to a broader audience.
